About Our Miniatures Page 2 of 3 |
|
| Miniatures available through our online shop are available in four different finishes: plain (stone finish, or verdigris for bells), green, red and antiqued bronze. Not all miniatures are available in all finishes - please browse our shop to see the range we currently offer. Please note that we don't carry a large stock of these, but in the unlikely event of a piece you require being temporarily out of stock we can produce it to order normally within a few days. The dimensions of a piece finished in green, red or bronze are identical to their stone (or verdigris) counterpart. Pieces with these alternative finishes are also available through only a small number of cathedral and gallery shops. | ||
| Stone finish The "plain" finish for bosses and corbels. All of our carved stone pieces are made in a reconstituted stone of our own formula and method. Nearly all of our pieces contain stone removed from the relevant building during restoration work. We are pleased that, so far as we know, no competitor has come anywhere near producing such an authentic scale stone finish, or such accurate representations of stone carvings. No. 10 shown, right. Browse the Online Catalogue Index. |

Jack O' The Green Series These pieces are finished in a rich and slightly mottled antiqued green. We have recently modified the finish, making it look more attractive; we hope you like it. The subtle variations in colour and texture between pieces ensure that no two pieces are absolutely identical. The catalogue numbers for the "Jack o' the Green" series pieces are as per their stone finish counterparts, but with the "GR" suffix. No. 17GR shown, left. Browse the Jack O' The Green Series catalogue pages. |

Red Antique finish The newest addition to our range of standard finishes, the Red Antique finish has the warmth and opulence of old leather, and can give extra vibrancy to some of the bolder miniatures. Again, the subtle variations in colour and texture between pieces ensure that no two are absolutely identical. Red Antique finish miniatures have the same catalogue numbers as their stone finish counterparts, but with the "R" suffix. No 99R shown, right. Browse the Red Antique Finish catalogue pages. |

Bronze finish Several of our carved stone miniatures are also available in a rich antiqued bronze finish. Again, the subtle variations in colour and texture between pieces ensure that no two are absolutely identical. The catalogue numbers for bronze finish miniatures are as per their stone finish counterparts, but with the "A" suffix. No. 7A shown, left. Browse the Bronze Finish catalogue pages. |
|
| Verdigris finish bells All of our miniature bells are available in an authentic "verdigris" finish, the colouring matching as closely as possible the effect the years have had on their full-sized counterparts. As this is the "real" finish for bells, the catalogue numbers for these miniatures have no suffix letters. No 71 shown, right. Browse the Historic Bells catalogue pages. |
