A
pleasing ball of acanthus foliage based on work done during the
restoration of the beautiful
18th century facade of Worcester Guild Hall. This type of carved foliage
is known as "Stiff Leaf", a slightly misleading title, given
the fluidity of carving style.
This piece is for display on
an horizonal surface, and has no hanging loop.
We have reintroduced this piece into our range to celebrate twenty years
of production of our miniature stone carvings. Collectors who already
have examples of the rare original edition of our No. 1 will be interested
to know that we've subtly altered the reintroduced version, so that the
two versions are distinct and identifiable.
