Anyone who has not yet visited the wonderful Norman Tewkesbury Abbey, should do so if only to see the magnificent array of carved roof bosses that festoon the entire abbey roof; a cobweb of vaulting ribs above the massiveness of the Norman columns below. The carvings, throughout, are vibrant and beautifully executed. This example shows the winged lion of St. Mark.
