Original stone finish (25)

The wyvern is taking a good bite at the centaur's flank, whilst the centaur wields a lethal looking bludgeon! The background foliage is very stylised. History has it that the monks themselves built the nave vaulting, however, the complexity and finesse of craftsmanship suggest that either the stone masons became monks themselves (unlikely), or that skilled masons very carefully supervised the monks (probably equally unlikely!) Be assured, this is no DIY job, but the work of masters.
