If you are experiencing problems with the
online shop, it may be due to settings on your computer.
Shop pages are blank.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you
might have your security setting set to "high" which disables
JavaScript. Unfortunately one of the results of this is to display
the shop pages as blank screens. To set your computer's security to
"medium" (which is fine for the shop) follow these procedures:
For Internet Explorer 6 go to the Tools menu, Internet Options. Click
the Security tab, highlight the Internet icon, click the Custom Level
button, the Security Settings pop up window will appear, select Medium
in the "Reset to" drop down list towards the bottom. Then
click on the Reset button and answer "yes" to the "Are
you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone?".
Click on OK and OK again to close the pop-up windows, then try accessing
or refreshing your shop page. To restore your previous settings if
you so wish afterwards use the same basic sequence.
To order online using Internet Explorer
6 you also need to make sure your Privacy setting is set to Medium
(Medium-High may also work). This is also an Internet Option - Privacy
Tag this time.
"Add To Basket" doesn't work/appear.
The Add To Basket facility on our website
is dependant upon "cookies" in order to function. So a computer
which has cookies disabled would be unable to make the purchase. In
Internet Explorer 6 use the Tools menu, Internet Option. This opens
up a window comprising several pages each accessible via a tab at
the top. The Privacy one has a sort of slider in it, which changes
the level of privacy set in your browser - at the top is "Block
All Cookies", at the bottom "Accept All Cookies", settings
above Medium High will block the cookies required to operate the basket,
so you will need to select a lower setting. Again, to restore your
previous settings if you so wish afterwards use the same basic sequence.
